3 base designs for a bindle styled care package. 1 for Singapore, UK and China. To create fabric designs that are local to the country that best represents it. However, during the group tutorial, we discussed that my approach was too narrow. I should broaden out abit. What if there was individual care-packages that is catered for each person. Something that can be customised by each person and personalised just for them. My immediate thought at that moment was, HOW AM I GOING TO CREATE A CARE-PACKAGE FOR EACH PERSON. By creating the 3 base designs, I was generalising to region specific kits. During the tutorial, one of the suggestions I received was to maybe create like an instruction manual. A way for everyone to make their own homesick kit from home before travelling. It allows the design to be more unique and special for each person as they are preparing it personally. I think the best approach for me at a time like this is to take a few steps back, to reassess my work and to reflect and do more research to explore new ideas and to create more physical things and to just create and design more in general. To keep exploring and experimenting, I need to make sure not to narrow myself down too soon and to keep creating and trying new things.
