Going back to the box idea. For the kid, the bindle really didn't go as planned. The items felt very loose and unprotected in the bindle. The bindle was a cool concept to begin with but I wasn't happy with the execution and the presentation of it, hence I went back to the box idea just to evaluate and see how it presents and works for this care-package idea. I began by getting 5 die-cut box samples to get a feel for the size of the box before making my own set of boxes. To save myself time experimenting with the full box, I ordered in 10" x 7" x 3" white die-cut boxes. To order in a sample box preprinted with my Batik design would cost up to 45 pounds per unit or ever as low as 9 pounds per unit but almost all the companies only allow bulk orders or deliver the test sample way later that my planned dates. For that reason, I decided to purchase just the box and customise it with my batik print stuff in and around it to get a visual idea of how it works.

To be entirely honest, i loved how the box came out. It had a few rough edges as I didn't do an amazing print and stick job. But for a sample box, it looks visually amazing. Now I can begin sampling the mini boxes and modules to put inside the box. The aim is to make the box feel special with its own individual trinkets and make it reminiscent of Singapore.
