Inspired by the hieroglyphs engraved in the temples scattered around Egypt. Symbolised with the pyramids, camels and the national bird the falcon and their staple evil eye, I designed this to be reminiscent of Egypt. Working close with some old friends in Egypt, I developed this design that best reminded them of Egypt. However, due to time restraints, I did not run this design by the usual voting system with various colour palettes. This design was created with the intention to work with the sand colour with the black and light tones. The palette and theme was based on sands of Egypt and the beautiful sunrises and sunsets there. Having lived in Egypt for 5 years helped with this design. The foliage in the background of the camel is developed from the silhouette of a sunset picture I took in Luxor, Egypt. The columns on the bottom are inspired by the columns I saw at the temple of edfu. Overall this design when discussed with my Egyptian audience successfully reminded them of Egypt.
